DUSHANBE, April 11, Asia-Plus  — On Friday April 11, Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi joined his French counterpart, Mr. Bernard Kouchner, in an opening ceremony of new French Embassy in Dushanbe.

Speaking at the ceremony, French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Bernard Kouchner noted that opening of the embassy is an important event in bilateral relations of France and Tajikistan.  

For his part, Tajik FM said that France is one of best friends of Tajikistan “and it is one of windows to Europe for us.”  

“We have very good relations with France in the fields of politics, economy and trade,” said Zarifi, “Bu the most important thing is our joint work on supporting stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan and reconstruction of its economy.  I believe with opening of the new embassy our relations become stronger even more.”
