DUSHANBE, April 11, Asia-Plus  — Gernot Erler, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office, and Hedi Wegener, Chair of the German-Central Asian Parliamentary Group in the Bundestag. Are expected to arrive in Tajikistan on April 14 for a two-day visit, Asia-plus has learned at the German Embassy in Dushanbe.    

During their stay in Dushanbe, the German officials are scheduled to hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon, Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi.  The talks  will focus on state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral political and economic cooperation between Germany and Tajikistan as well as implementation of the European Union strategy for Central Asia.  

Representatives from German business community, representing energy, banking and mechanical engineering sector, will accompany them on the visit to Tajikistan.
