DUSHANBE, April 15, Asia-Plus  — Preparations to ensure regular work of Dushanbe’s economy during autumn-winter 2008-2009 was a focus of an enlarged meeting of the the Dushanbe mayor’s office that was held on April 14.   

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that speaking at the meeting, Sharifkhon Samiyev, the director of Barqi Tojik (Tajik electric systems) power holding, had briefed those present on the company’s plans.  According to him, to improve quality of services they have decided to establish electric systems directorates in each of four districts of Dushanbe.  Thereby, a staff of the Dushanbe electric systems will increase from 428 to 726, Samiyev said.  

Speaking at the meeting, Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev asked the Barqi Tojik administration to solve the issue of assessment of an amount of electricity consumed in Dushanbe before September 15.   

Besides, the capital mayor announced his decision to take Eastern and Southwest boiler houses under jurisdiction of the Dushanbe mayor’s office.   

 The meeting also considered issues related to filling local markets with food products, prices on consumer markets and sanitary-epidemiologic situation in the city.    

On the construction of Water Park and Perpetual Vita in Dushanbe, Ubaidulloyev charged his deputy Zokirkhouja Muhuddinov to enlist the services of international auditors to resume the construction before May 15, the spokesman said.
