DUSHANBE, April 16, Asia-Plus  – A delegation of France’s Institute for Higher National Security Studies yesterday paid a get-to-know visit to the head office of the Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe, the DCA press service said.  

The DCA director Rustam Nazarov briefed French guests on the present drug situation in the country and measures taken by the government to raise efficiency of work of the law enforcement agencies combating drug trafficking.  

Representatives from France’s Institute for Higher National Security Studies also visited DCA’s warehouse for storing the seized drugs and pretrial detention facility.  

The Tajik drug control chief answered the numerous questions of guests on drug trafficking and money laundering schemes as well as joint operations carried out by the Tajik counternarcotics agency in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of Afghanistan and other countries.
