DUSHANBE, June 16, Asia-Plus — Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) is expected to host a meeting of Tajik and Iranian entrepreneurs on July 18.
According to CCI press service, a decision on holding this conference was taken at a meeting of the deputy CCI head, Asanali Karamaliyev, with a delegation of Iran’s South Khurasan province, led by Mr. Mahguli, the deputy head of the South Khurasan commerce directorate, which was held in Dushanbe on June 12.
The meeting scheduled for July 18 is dedicated to promote further expansion of trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran as well as joint participation in implementation of investment projects in Tajikistan.
A June 12 meeting focused on bilateral cooperation in different fields. The purpose of the visit was for the Iranian delegation to get acquainted with Tajikistan’s sectors like food industry, production of herbal and chemical medicines, energy, building materials, and agriculture as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries.
During the meeting, Mr. Mahguli proposed to organize an exhibition of goods manufactured by enterprises of South Khurasan in Dushanbe.
