DUSHANBE, June 18, Asia-Plus — State and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan were major topic of a meeting of Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi with the Japanese Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Tsutomu Hiraoka, in Dushanbe on June 17, according to the Tajik MFA.
In the course of the talks, the two exchanged views on issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan in areas like automotive road and railway building and implementation of regional energy and communications projects.
The two also discussed the upcoming visit of Japan’s Parliamentary Secretary for Justice to Tajikistan as well as number of issues being of mutual interest.
