GHARM, June 30, 2008, Asia-Plus — Work on cleaning an access road to the coal filed Nazarayloq in the Rasht district is under way. Two bulldozers are currently working on the site and the road is expected to be ready for operation in a week.
According to miners working at the Nazarayloq coal field, they last year produced 20,000 tons of coal, which was enough to provide all the Rasht organizations and institutions with coal and part of the produced coal was sent to other districts of the country.
This year, the Nazarayloq miners are expected to double the volume of the produced coal. At present they are constructing the access road to the coal field from the side of the village of Hait with financial support of the Ministry of Energy and Industries and another access road is being constructed from the side of Darali Kamarob with help of the British businessmen.
