DUSHANBE, July 1, 2008, Asia-Plus –  Local authorities of GBAO’s Darvoz district have developed the program for growing lemons in the district, the Darvoz agriculture department head Sadullo Sayfulloyev said.   

Under this program, they plan to build more 100 greenhouses for growing lemons in Darvoz.  32 greenhouses for growing lemons and oranges will be constructed in the Roghak area and they will produce more than 10 tons of products a year, according to Sayfulloyev.    

 “Growing citrus plants will be profitable for local population,” the Darvoz agriculture department head said.
