DUSHANBE, July 4, Asia-Plus  — A consultative meeting of historians on including architectural relics of Central Asia and China into the catalogue for nomination for UNSECO awards has been held in Xian, China.    

According to the Ministry of Culture (MoC), Tajikistan’s cultural relics such as the site of ancient settlement Bunjikat,  Madarsah Khoja Mashhad, the site of the ancient settlement Hulbuk, ancient Panjakent, the Hissor Fortress, the site of ancient settlement Anjina Teppa, the site of ancient settlement Takhti Sangin and the Kokhi Yamchun Fortress have been put on the list along with other cultural relics of Central Asia and China.  

“It is the first time that architectural relics of Tajikistan have been included into the catalogue for nomination for UNESCO awards and we hope they will win the awards,” the source at a MoC said.
