DUSHANBE, September 8, 2008, Asia-Plus  — An international money transfer system CONTACT has opened a free telephone line for Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

According to CONTACT’s official web site, free telephones of the single inquiry service currently function connecting new CIS states to the system CONTACT.   

People now may get CONTACT’s call center on the many-channel number 8-10-800-20-20-42-42 also from the public fixed-line telecommunications network in Uzbekistan and open-joint-stock company (OJSC) Tojik Telecom (Tajikistan’s fixed-line telecommunications network) in Tajikistan.  Before that, only residents of Russia, Belarus, Moldova and Kyrgyzstan has had free access to CONTACT’s single inquiry service.

In Tajikistan, all large banks, including Orienbonk, Amonatbonk (Tajikistan’s savings bank), Tojiksodirotbonk (TSB), Eskhata Bank and others, are connected to the money transfer system CONTACT.   

The system CONTACT guarantees certitude, quickness, and convenience and is ideal for the individuals who urgently need to send or receive money transfers.

CONTACT takes a few minutes to make a transaction.  Money is available within several hours; transfers are made in rubles, US dollars and Euros.  Minimum amount of the transaction is not fixed and rate of commission:  2% — in rubles across Russia; and 3% — in foreign currency (dollars, euros).  When transferring money to CONTACT by foreign partner companies, a non-standard rate of commission can be applied.
