DUSHANBE, October 2, 2008, Asia-Plus  — Open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, Tajikistan’s largest commercial bank, has lowered rates of services rendered to customers.

According to Orienbonk’s head office in Dushanbe, the new rates have been effective since October 1.  The rates approved by the bank’s board have been coordinated with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT), the source at Orienbonk said.

Changes concern rates of commissions for services rendered to legal and physical entities as well as international organizations on serving accounts both in the Somoni and foreign currencies as well as registering and issuing plastic cards and providing legal services.

“These changes are necessary for protection of interests of customers, rapid response to changing market and profitability as well as for stimulation and increase of distribution of our products and services,” the source said.
