Uzbekistan signed the contracts on the 4th International cotton fair on exporting 950 thousand tons of cotton fiber.

Direct export contracts were signed on fiber of 2008-2009 season crop, part of cotton was contracted on currency ground of Uzbekistan Commodity exchange.

The main importers of cotton are enterprises from Bangladesh, India, China, South Korea, Pakistan, Russia, and UAE.

International cotton fair was organized by Uzbekistan government together with International Consulting Committee. This event was held for the fourth time. More than 350 enterprises from 35 countries participated in the event.
