DUSHANBE, November 15, 2008, Asia-Plus — Tehran has hosted an international annual competition for the best recitation from the Koran.
According to the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe, the competition that has lasted during a week is finishing on November 17.
Representatives from 40 countries of the world, including two students from Tajik Islamic Institute are participating in the contest that is organized by Tehran National University, the source a the Iranian Embassy said, noting that the winners would receive prizes of the organizing committee.
We will recall that last year, representatives of Tajikistan took the fourth place in this contest.
