CCI head offers Iranian entrepreneurs cooperation in energy and processing industries

DUSHANBE, November 15, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Friday November 14, Sharif Said, the head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) held talks with visiting Iranian business delegation. 

The Iranian delegation members included Mehdi Hariri, director of MOSHK-BOO TEA CO, Said Muhammad Behfar, director of INSA Trading Co Ltd, and Nasser Vaseqi, top manager of Shahr Aftab.

According to the CCI press service, Iranian entrepreneurs were interested in functioning of the banking system in Tajikistan and the interest rates offered by local banking providers.

For his part, the CCI head briefed Iranian guests on priority areas of Tajikistan’s economy needed investments as well as projects aimed at enhancement of the country’s energy sector, tourism and relevant industries, processing of cotton, leather and wools, as well as production of farm produce.  

Heads of Iranian companies noted that their visit had get-to-know character and to establish business cooperation they would visit Tajikistan again next spring, the press service said.
