KHUJAND, December 24, 2008, Asia-Plus — Five suicide cases have been reported in the Sughd province in recent days.
According to the Sughd police directorate, a minor girl from Istaravshan Mastoura Mahmoudzoda, the 28-year-old Shahnoza Tukhtayeva from Isfara, the 26-year-old resident of Khujand Ulughbek Nematov, the 25-year-old resident of Istaravshan Zayniddin Turusnov and the 44-year-old Ehson Roziqov from Bobojonghafurov have committed suicide over the report period.
In all, 248 suicide cases have been reported in northern Tajikistan in January-November this year. Among the suicide victims are 136 men, 112 women and 27 minors.
