KHUJAND, December 26, 2008 Asia-Plus  — The Sughd military prosecutor’s office have completed investigation into case instituted against Mahmadullo Andalibov, an officer with military unit 2620 deployed in the province, and two civilians – Abdusalom Nouraliyev and Amirsho Kuchakshoyev, who face charge of drug trafficking.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Muslim Khudoiberdiyev, a judge with the Sughd military court, said that they are charged with an attempt of pushing 7.4 kilograms of hashish.

“On August 28, 2008, Abdusalom Nouraliyev was detained in Khujand on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking; 7.4 kilograms of hashish were found in his car.  Later, Andalibov and Kuchakshoyev were arrested on suspicion of complicity in this crime,” the judge said, noting that their trial will begin in January 2009.
