DUSHANBE, January 23, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Mr. Nicolas Guigas, Ph.D in International Economics and Chartered Financial Analyst program charterholder, has been appointed as a Deputy Country Director for the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, according to the SDC Dushanbe Office.

Since 2002 Mr. Guigas has worked as Senior Economist at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO) from dealing with economic and financial analysis regarding various developing and emerging countries to representing SECO in various international conferences and negotiation rounds.  Mr. Guigas has a lasting experience in researching cause-effect relation in currency and financial crisis, and speculative attacks on exchange rates.

The Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan announces an exhibition of photographs on the subject WORK. This subject was chosen for the yearly calendar Navruz, which has become a “trade mark” of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, in order to show how multifaceted and rich the life is thanks to the work.

27 photographs submitted by local photographers reflect various aspects of our life through work, capturing people of different age and occupation. 8 best photographs out of 27 will then be selected for the calendar Navruz 2009-2010. The exhibition is taking place at the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan today at 5::00 pm.
