DUSHANBE, January 23, “Asia-Plus” – Second phase of the civil-engineering design of a motorway “Shagon-Zigar” almost is half fulfilled which is realized in the south of Tajikistan by the Iranian building company “Sober”.
As the director of the given project Isomkul Shokulov has informed “Asia-Plus”, now from design 10 kilometers the builders lay more than 4 kilometers of this road on a site Guldara (former Devdara) in the party Zigara, thus is mastered about 45% of means selected on realization of the second stage of construction of this line.
“Guldara territory – is most difficult site of a motorway Shagon-Zigar, as to lay a new road through it, mountain breed to 80 meters “, – he has noted.
As he said, realization of the second phase of the project is planned to finish till September of this year. He has noted, that more than 75% of the workers is made by the Tajik builders. Meanwhile, I. Shokulov has said, that the beginning of realization of the third phase of construction of a motorway Shagon-Zigar, extent of 35 kms, is planned in the beginning of this year.
He has reminded, that on realization of the second and third stages of the project meaning rehabilitation and reduction in conformity with the international standards of a site of a road from Guldara up to Zigar, is selected about $32 mln. – 87% from this sum allocates Islamic bank of development, 13% – government of RT.
In particular, on realization of the second phase of the project which has started in November of the last year, is selected about $15 mln. From a total sum, and, accordingly, on a third – approximately $17 mln.
Having reminded also, that in the first phase of the project the construction of 5 kms of a road was carried out, and this site was handed over in operation in 2005, I. Shokulov has noted, that the complete end of construction of a motorway Shagon-Zigar is planned to the beginning of 2010.
Tender on second and third phase of construction of a motorway Shagon-Zigar the company “Sober”, which also builds in RT a “Istiklol” tunnel, has won at the end of August of the last year. The contract between the ministry of transport both communications RT and Iranian company was signed in October, 2008.
The motorway Shagon-Zigar is a site of an auto line Dushanbe-Kulob-Khorog-Kulma-Karakorum highway – major international corridor, and has huge importance for Tajikistan and other neighboring states.
