DUSHANBE, February 3, 2009, Asia-Plus — Chairman of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Mr. Sharif Said yesterday met with France’s Ambassador to Tajikistan, Mr. Henry Zipper de Fabiani, to discuss prospects of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and France, according to the CCI press service.
In the course of the talks, French diplomat was interested in opportunities of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of hydropower engineering, mining, processing of precious and semi-precious stones, as well as wine-making.
The two also considered issues related to reconstruction of Afghanistan’s economy. France may transit of Tajikistan by commercial good and services to support rehabilitation efforts in Afghanistan, the press service said.
