DUSHANBE, March 12, 2009, Asia-Plus — The board (Shuro) of Tajikistan’s upper chamber (Majlisi Milli) of parliament considered a bill requiring amendments to the law on the national border of Tajikistan at a March 11 meeting, presided over by its speaker, Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev.
Shavkat Saidov, an aide to the upper house speaker, said the meeting had also considered amendments to the laws on private medical activity, basic vocational education, credit history, freedom of conscience and religious associations, etc.
The board also considered amendments to the country’s criminal code as well as the agenda of the 18th session of the Majlisi Milli of the third convocation, the aide said.
