DUSHANBE, March 21, 2009, Asia-Plus — An official opening of a five-star Hyatt Regency Dushanbe Hotel is being held today morning and President Emomali Rahmon is expected to attend the hotel-opening ceremony.
We will recall that the company Russkiye Oteli (Russian Hotels) has invested in the construction of the Dushanbe Hyatt Regency Hotel and its affiliate – the limited liability company Sozidaniye – has acted as contractor. The general contractor for this project is ENKA Insaat Ve Sanayi A.Sh.
The work on the hotel began in summer 2005. The architectural concept has been worked out by Seattle’s NBBJ in cooperation with Istanbul’s HAS Architects Ltd. The construction of the hotel officially commenced on March 1, 2006.
Hyatt Regency Dushanbe features 202 well-appointed guestrooms and suites. All feature an LCD television, an in-room safe, a work desk with high-speed broadband Internet connectivity, a multi-line telephone with voice mail, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
The company “Russkiye Oteli” was founded in September 2004 for managing investment projects on the commercial real estate market. Over the past period, the company has implemented a number of investment projects in Yerevan (Armenia), Tbilisi (Georgia), Novosibirsk, Abakan and Sochi.
An operational management of the hotel will be conducted by the international corporation Hyatt – international operator, under brand of which 215 hotels function in 44 countries across the world.
Today morning, President will also attend a groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a 20-story business center, Dushanbe-Plazza, in the center of Dushanbe, the Roudaki Avenue and the Bukhor Street crossing.
The president will also attend a ceremony of an official commencement of construction of the city park in the Buni Luchon area as well as the groundbreaking ceremony for construction of a new choikhona (teahouse) on the Ismoili Somoni Avenue, not far from the Hyatt regency Dushanbe Hotel.
