Kyrgyz Centralized Fund for Poverty Reduction allocated about 85 million soms for issue of new textbooks in 2009, chief of the department for preproduction and publication of textbooks of the Kyrgyz Education and Science Ministry Guljigit Soronkuliv informed the news agency “24.kg”.

According to Soronkulov, it is planned to publish over one million textbooks on 26 qualifications. “At least 20 kinds of textbooks will be issued for schools with Kyrgyz language bias and 6- for Uzbek language schools,” he added.

Besides, Foundation Russkiy mir assigns three million rubles on publication of textbooks. “New printing office, opened recently under the Kyrgyz Russian-Slavic University, will issue prepess matrixes of Russian textbooks. The masters will be modified according to national peculiarities. The new textbooks will be issued on their basis,” Guljigit Soronkuliv said.
