DUSHANBE, June 4, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Issues related to bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation and use of economic and financial potentials for strengthening of bilateral economic and cooperation were the focus of a meeting of senior representative of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) and commercial banks of Tajikistan with a Polish delegation led by the chairperson of department within the Ministry of Economy, Labor and Social Policy Elzbeta Bodio that was held in Dushanbe on May 29, according to the MoF press service.

In the course of the talks, the sides discussed expansion of bilateral cooperation in sectors like energy, industry, construction and agriculture.

They also considered issues related to establishment of mutually beneficial cooperation between banks of the two countries.  The Polish side, in particular, offered to organize travel of representatives of Tajik banks to Poland to establish contacts with the Polish Bank Association.

The sides also discussed the provision of preferential export loan, grants and technical assistance to Tajikistan.
