KULOB, June 10, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Selection examinations among Kulob youth for entering Ivanovo State Chemical Technological University (Russia) will be held at the branch of Tajik Technological University from June 17-20.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the deputy director of Tajik Technological University’s branch in Kulob for innovations and economic development, Almouso Shoyev, said that 100 Kulob youth would competitively selected to study at Ivanovo Chemical Technological University at the expense of Russian national budget starting from this academic year.  According to him, students will study the first two years at the Kulob branch of Tajik Technological University and two other years at Ivanovo State Chemical Technological University.

Shoyev added that the issue of opening of a joint Tajik-Russian Faculty of Advanced Technologies at Tajik Technological University’s branch in Kulob by September 2009 had also been solved.  “Students will study technologies of producing dubbings, volatile oils and perfumery and cosmetics as well as chemical technology of high-melting non-metallic and silicate materials,” the deputy director said.

Tajik Technological University’s branch in Kulob now has 671 students and the first 27 technologists will graduate from it this year.
