DUSHANBE, June 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Four traffic accidents registered in the country yesterday left five dead, including four children, and four injured, according to the traffic police directorate.

Opel-Astra hit two 8-year-old girls in Dushanbe’s Firdavsi district yesterday evening.  The girls were taken to the hospital, where one of them died from injuries received in the accident.

Another accident took place in the Vahdat district.  GAZ-24 hit the 6-year-old girl, who died on the spot.

In Sughd’s Ghonchi district, minivan GAZ-2705 hit the two-year-old boy, who also died on the spot.

In Khatlon’s Norak district, a truck GAZ-53 with five passengers, including 11-yerar-old boy, on board fell over the precipice.  The diver and the boy died on the spot while four passengers sustained various injuries and were taken to the hospital.
