DUSHANBE, June 18, 2009, Asia-Plus  — As of May 31, 2009, regulative capital of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Agroinvestbonk amounted to more than 157.917 million somoni, which is 49.553 million more than as of the same date of last year, press service of Agroinvestbonk’s head office in Dushanbe reported.  As of May 31, 2008, the bank’s regulative capital amounted to more than 108.364 million somoni.

As of May 31, 2009, the bank’s aggregate capital amounted to more than 200.658 million somoni while as of the same date of last year, Agroinvestbonk’s aggregate capital amounted to more than 118.574 million somoni.

Press release notes that the dollar and the euro remittance to the bank have considerable decreased over the first five months compared to the same period of last year, while the Russian ruble remittances have increased over the same five-month period.

In January-May 2009, little more than 130.156 million U.S. dollars and little more than 924,000 euros have been remitted to Agroinvestbonk, while over the same period of last year, more than 218.834 million U.S. dollars and 1.015 million euros were remitted to the bank.  In the meantime, 2,313,301,000 Russian rubes have been remitted to Agroinvestbonk over the report period against 1,322,223,000 Russian rubles remitted to the bank in January-May 2008.

In January-May 2009, Agroinvestbonk has provided loans for a total amount of some 253.525 million somoni, which is 54.7 percent of the January-May 2008 level.  In January-may 2008, the bank provided loans for more than 482.044 million somoni.
