DUSHANBE, July 2, 2009, Asia-Plus — The CIS council for youth affairs will meet in Dushanbe on July 3-4, according to the CIS Executive Committee press service.
A draft strategy of international youth cooperation of member nations of the CIS, worked out by the Ministry of Education of Belarus, will be among major topics of the meeting.
The strategy is aimed at raising national and civil morale of young people, tolerance, as well as intellectual, creative and sports activities. The strategy provides for measures to improve and introduce new technologies of work with youth, preserve and increase cultural heritage of peoples, create strong international ties and develop friendly relations between youths of the CIS states.
The strategy is expected to allow young people being more actively involved in socioeconomic, political and cultural of society and will promote creation of a solid system of holding of traditional events in the sphere of youth policy within the CIS area.
