Today at the Government”s telephone conference Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov informed of 1.4% growth of the country”s economy in June 2009.

Since beginning of the crisis Kazakhstan has not entered the phase of technical recession. Decline was observed only in the first quarter of 2009 while in the second quarter growth made 3%. “Thus, we can say with confidence that lowering of development indices of the Kazakhstan economy reached “bottom” in the 1st q and today economy comes out to the recovery phase”, B. Sultanov noted.

Stabilization is also observed in industry, according to the Minister. Thus, decline in overall production in March made 7.4% against the same period in 2008. In June this figure comprised 7%. Agricultural sector faces positive trends too. Growth of investments in main capital made 7.3%.
