KHUJAND, August 20, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The Khujand-based Tajik-Iranian joint venture, Nikoo-Khujand (textile factory), has introduced a three-shift system, the factory director Ismoil Qalandarov said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, four teams of workers and engineers have been formed and they now work in three shifts by turn.

”88 people now work with the factory,” said the director, “The enterprise produces cotton yarn that is supplied to one of textile factories in the Russian city of Ivanovo and the limited liability company, Nohid, in the Istaravshan district.”

Qalandarov added that they are currently seeking partners in order to increase the enterprise export potential.
