DUSHANBE, August 20, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Tajik private airline, Somon Air, has lowered passenger fares on flights to Frankfurt am Main, according to the Somon Air press service.

A round-trip Economy Class ticket for the flight, previously €650, costs €450 during the period from August 13 through October 31 this year.  The introduction of the new rate is aimed at attracting more passengers and raising the company’s competitiveness, the press service said.

Somon Air operated the first flight from Dushanbe to Frankfurt am Main on July 29 this year.  The flight to Frankfurt is the first flight operated by the company to Europe.
