KHUAJND, September 18, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The chief of the criminal investigation squad within the Isfara police department Saidumar Saidov has been killed.

According to reliable source at the Sughd police directorate, Saidumar Saidov was shot outside his apartment in Isfara today at around 3:30 pm.  The source refrained from giving further details of the incident.  A special team comprising representatives from local police and prosecutor’s office has been set up to investigate into the incident.
