DUSHANBE, September 22, 2009, Asia-Plus  – The 27th session of the Council of Heads of Security and Special Service bodies (CHSS) of the CIS states will be held in Aktau, Kazakhstan from September 23-25 to consider the process of implementation of a joint crime prevention program for 2008-2010, according to the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting participants will consider issues related to development of measures to improve cooperation in combating international terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism.

They will also discuss the process of implementation of the interstate program of joint crime prevention measures designed for 2008-2010.

Representatives from special services of Germany, Spain, Italy and France have been invited to attend the CHSS session in Aktau.

The Council of Heads of Security and Special Service Bodies of the CIS States was established on March 28, 1997.  One of the main tasks of the council is in organizing an efficient interaction between the security and special service bodies of the CIS states in the field of fight against transnational organized crime and other concerted spheres of activities of them.
