DUSHANBE, October 9, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Police officers have reportedly solved killing of an employee of the currency exchange office in the center of Dushanbe that was committed on September 23 this year.

The source at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that three persons had been arrested on suspicion of having been involved in the killing.  Their names are not disclosed in the interest of investigation.

We will recall that Manouchehr Mirzoyev, an employee of the currency exchange office in the center of Dushanbe, was killed on September 23.  Unidentified persons entered the currency exchange office and inflicted 10 stab wounds on him.  Mirzoyev died on the way to the hospital.

“According to one of versions, Mirzoyev lent a large amount of money to one his acquaintance, who failed to pay off the debt in time.  A conflict arose between them on this subject and the debtor complained to his acquaintances, who recently returned from Russia, of his creditors and they promised to solve the problem,” the source said.

The detainees confessed to the crime, saying that had been going to just intimidate Mirzoyev but he had offered resistance and they had had to kill to him, he added.
