DUSHANBE, October 23, 2009, Asia-Plus  — A tremor measuring some 4.0-5.0 on a 12-point scale jolted Dushanbe today early in morning at about 0:15 am, according to the Dushanbe seismology station.

Centered on the territory of Afghanistan some 295 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe, the earthquake could be felt in other regions of Tajikistan as well.  In the epicenter, the tremor magnitude was 5.0-6.0.

No damage or injured was reported, according to the source.
