President Islam Karimov has reorganized the structure of the Cabinet of Ministers and lessened the number of vice prime minsiters in the result.

Karimov on Tuesday signed executive order to name Abdulla Aripov as Vice Prime Miniser of Uzbekistan. Aripov will supervise education, health care, social security, information systems and telecommunications issues. Prior to this appointment Aripov served as vice prime minister, chief of information systems and telecommunications, the director general of the Uzbek Agency of Communications and Informatization.

Khakim Mukhitdinov was appointed for the post of the Director General of the Uzbek Agency for Communications and Informatization, who was the deputy director of the Agency before.

There are six vice prime ministers instead of previous seven in the end. The dismissed vice prime minister, who supervised education and social security issues, Rustam Kasymov, has been appointed the President of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
