DUSHANBE, November 11, 2009, Asia-Plus  — The board of the Islamic Revival Party (IRPT) has decided to convene a pre-lection congress on December 19 this year.

Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the IRPT spokesman Hikmatullo Sayfullozoda said that the board meeting that was held on November 10 also discussed issues related to development of the party’s platform that is expected to be ready by the end of November.

“The IRPT board also discussed the mechanism of participation of the party in the forthcoming parliamentary elections due in February 2010, training of members of electoral commissions and authorized representatives of candidates, and preparation of agitation materials,” Sayfullozoda said.
