USD and RR exchange rates reportedly decrease slightly in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, December 2, 2009, Asia-Plus — Offer of foreign currencies that was observed at the inter-bank currency market of Tajikistan from November 27 to December 1 has resulted in exchange rates of the dollar and the Russian ruble (RR) slightly decreasing, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).

An average exchange rate of the dollar against the Tajik national currency, the somoni, at the inter-bank currency market is now 1:4.3532 and an average exchange rate of RR against the somoni is 10:1.4577, Tajik central banks press service reported.

As far as the exchange rate of the euro is concerned, it has slightly risen and is now 1:6.4347.

The USD exchange rate in the currency exchanges offices in Dushanbe and the regions has not changed over the last week and amounts on average to 1:4.3678.

Average exchange rates of RR and € in the currency exchange offices in Dushanbe and the regions are now 10:1.471 and 1:6.4348 respectively.

As of November 25, average exchange rates of RR and € in the currency exchange offices were 10:1.496 and 1:6.445 respectively.
