It is planned to revise size of benefits for socially vulnerable population of Kyrgyzstan in January, March, July and October 2010, Daniyar Usenov, the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan said Thursday at the forum devoted to training of personnel for public and municipal services.

Salaries, pensions and social benefits will be raised by July 2010. “Over 90 percent –about 1,100 million people- out of 1,200 million will get social assistance,” Usenov said.

There are at least 16-17 laws in Kyrgyzstan which stipulate various benefits for the population category. “But only 2-3 percent of them use the whole list of benefits annually,” the prime minister said.

About 27 items provide benefits for veterans and home front workers the total sum of which makes up 84 thousand soms per person annually. Usenov promised to intensify work with this category of aided. “I would like to point that we will render considerable assistance to veterans in jubilee 2010,” he added.
