The Parliament of Kyrgyzstan has ratified republican budget for 2010 and 2011-2012 estimates in the second and third readings on Thursday.

As to Askarbek Shadiev Chairman of the Budget and Finances Committee, budget revenues made up 52,100 billion soms and expenditures-65,670 billion soms in 2010. “Thus, budget gap comes to 13,400 billion soms that amounts to 5.6 percent of GDP. Internal and external reserves will be allocated for filling up the gap,” Shadiev said.

Besides, over 20 billion will be reportedly transferred to the development budget.

According to the parliament member, deputies have managed to raise 500 million soms for implementation of some suggestions. “In particular, it was decided to allocate 12 million soms to the National Eye Microsurgery Hospital, 12 million- to the Kyrgyz Haematology Center, 15 million- State Physical Culture and Sports Agency, 5 million – for replenishment of library’s fund, 16 million- for payment of increment in judges’ pensions, 100 million-capital investments, sum of promotional grants will be increased by 50 millions, financing of the Finance Ministry for support of population amid utility hikes will be raised by 190 million soms, and at least 100 million soms is allocated for additional expenses,” he added.

Daniyar Usenov the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan admitted that 2008 budget had some shortcomings. “But we correct them. As for budget of 2009, it is implemented word for word. Collection of all residual funds will be carried out on December 28-30,” the prime minister said.
