President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation today.

The sides discussed the current state and prospects of further development of interstate relations, as well as a number of issues of international and regional policy of mutual interest and reaffirmed their willingness to intensify the productive dialogue.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited the Turkish Prime Minister to visit Turkmenistan at any convenient time. The invitation was accepted with gratitude. The sides agreed that the dates of the visit will be specified later through diplomatic channels.

During the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan exchanged congratulations on the coming New Year and extended their wishes of happiness, peace and prosperity to the friendly peoples of the two countries.
