DUSHANBE, December 30, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated President Emomali Rahmon on the upcoming New Year.

In his message, President Medvedev, in particular, noted that Tajik president’s state visit to the Russian Federation allowed finding optimal solutions within the framework of wide bilateral relations, presidential press service reported.

“We hope that in the next year, by joint efforts, we will manage to provide implementation of the reached agreements in the interest of further progressive development of Russian-Tajik cooperation,” the Russian president said in his message.
