KHUJAND, January 25, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The number of holders of plastic cards of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Eskhata Bank doubled in the year to December 31, 2009, reaching some 4,000 people, Dilshod Nematov, a leading specialist with the Eskhata Bank retail business department, said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, the bank has already signed contracts on paying wages via plastic cards with 17 organizations and enterprises with different forms of property operating in northern Tajikistan.

Established in November 1993, a privately owned Eskhata Bank, with headquarters in Khujand, has thirteen branches in various regions of the country.  The bank got operating license in 1994.
