DUSHANBE, February 6, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Dushanbe authorities discussed issues related to construction of buildings for Tajik National University and lyceum for talented children at a February 5 meeting, presided over by Dushanbe Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev.

The building for Tajik National University will be constructed in Dushanbe’s Javonon area and the building for lyceum for talented children, which is expected to accommodate 1,000 pupils, will be constructed in the Panjroud mahalla.

According to the Dushanbe mayor’s office press service, under the municipal redevelopment plan, 34 residential houses in the Buni Hisorak area are liable to demolition for the construction of new buildings for Tajik National University.

In this connection, the mayor ordered relevant municipal services to prepare proposals on providing 34 families, whose houses are liable to demolition, with new dwelling.  Apartments will be provided them at the expense of the city’s housing stock.
