DUSHANBE, February 13, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Officers from the migration service of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) of Tajikistan have detained an Iranian national, who has been wanted by Iranian law enforcement authorities for fraud.

The source at the MoI migration service told Asia-Plus told Asia-Plus Saturday afternoon that the 45-year-old Iranian citizen Maqsoud Bahman Nejadfard was temporarily living in the Tajik capital, while he has been wanted by law enforcement authorities of Iran on suspicion of having been involved in fraud.

We will recall that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan and Iran was signed in Tehran on July 19, 2004.  Under this document the sides, based on their national legislations, will cooperate and exchange information on crimes in various spheres.
