DUSHANBE, March 11, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi who is on a two-day working visit to Kazakhstan yesterday was received by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Davlat Nazriyev, head of the Tajik MFA information department, told Asia-Plus today.

According to him, the two discussed a broad range of issues related to state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.

In the meantime, Kazakhstan’s news agency, Kazinform, reports Kazakh State Secretary and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudbayev yesterday met in the Kazakh capital Astana with Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi.

Saudbayev and Zarifi discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries as well as interaction between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan within international organization. Their talks resulted in signing of the plan of cooperation between the MFAs of the two countries.

Tajik MFA information department head says Zarifi will return to Dushanbe today.
