DUSHANBE, March 19, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Customs officers seized a large amount of heroin at the Dushanbe railroad station yesterday, according to the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.

An inspection of passengers on the train Dushanbe-Moscow found 13.385 kilograms of heroin in a flask of grease belonging to the 34-year-old Lutfullo Mirahmadov, the source said.

The transportation prosecutor’s general has instituted criminal proceedings against Mirahmadov and an investigation is under way.
