KHUJAND, April 5, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Organized by the Sughd directorate for youth, sports and tourism affairs jointly with the Sughd agency for employment and migration and the Sughd committee for family and women’s affairs, a job fair took place in Khujand on April 3.

93 local organizations and enterprises participated at the fair offering 1,204 jobs as well as seasonal works outside the country, primarily in the Russian Federation, the source at the Sughd directorate for youth, sports and tourism affairs said.

More than 800 jobless, including 450 young people, visited the fair; 50 of them were placed in jobs, 45 others were sent to take training courses at vocational training schools and other training centers, and the remainder were given consultations.
