DUSHANBE, April 14, 2010, Asia-Plus  — The Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) has considered and endorsed a bill requiring changes and addenda to the law providing for the appointment and regulation of the practice of public notaries.

A regular sitting of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, presided over by its chairman, Shukurjon Zuhurov, was held on April 14.

MPs also considered and approved amendments to the laws on banking activity, protection of the atmosphere and military service as well as the country’s civil code.

The Majlisi Namoyandagon also passed resolutions on Tajikistan’s joining a number of international agreements and conventions.
