DUSHANBE, April 28, 2010, Asia-Plus — The Interior Minister of Pakistan Rehman Malik is arriving in Dushanbe today on a working visit, according to the Tajik MFA information department.

Mr. Malik wills stay in Tajikistan till April 30 and he is scheduled to hold talks with President Emomali Rahmon and heads of the ministries of interior and defense as well as the state committee for national security (GKNB).

The Pakistani interior minister is also planned to visit the Academy of the Ministry of Interior of Tajikistan, the source said. 

The Interior Minister of Pakistan heads the Ministry of Interior.  He serves in the cabinet of the Prime Minister.  The Minister is required to be a member of Parliament.  The current Interior Minister Rehman Malik is also a Pakistan Peoples Party senator.
