DUSHANBE, April 28, 2010, Asia-Plus  — Afghan national has been detained in Tajikistan with 500 grams of heroin, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).

The source at a MoI said that police officers found 500 grams of heroin when checking a truck ZIL-130 loaded with cargo belonging to Afghan national Safatulla Mulla Mohammad at the checkpoint Kuprukbandi in the Murgab district, Gorno Badakhshan on April 27.

The Afghan national has been detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug trafficking and an investigation is under way.
